These terms explain how SatNavUpdate.co.uk supplies digital BMW sat nav update, FSC activation, FSC file and vehicle history services to UK customers.

1. Who we are

SatNavUpdate.co.uk is operated by SC LEX GLOBAL IT SRL, DN17 nr 268B, Romania. You can contact us through the Contact page for order, support, legal or data-protection requests.

We provide digital BMW and MINI services to customers in the United Kingdom and elsewhere. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. The services

Depending on the product selected, our services may include identifying your BMW sat nav system by VIN, supplying an FSC activation code, supplying an FSC file, supplying map download guidance or providing an online BMW/MINI service history report.

Some products are delivered instantly after payment. Others depend on provider availability, VIN data, payment confirmation, fraud checks or the technical characteristics of your vehicle.

3. Vehicle compatibility and VIN responsibility

You are responsible for entering the correct VIN and checking the vehicle information shown before payment. If the same short VIN matches more than one vehicle, you must select the correct full VIN. Choosing the wrong VIN can lead to a code, file or report for the wrong vehicle.

For sat nav updates, compatibility depends on your vehicle, head unit, installed map family and available source data. If our lookup indicates that a different delivery method is required, for example an FSC file instead of a text code, the product and price may differ.

4. Ordering and payment

Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) before you proceed to checkout. Payment is processed securely by Stripe or another payment provider shown at checkout. We do not store your full card number, CVC or complete payment-card details.

An order is accepted when payment is confirmed and we start processing the selected digital service. We may refuse or cancel an order where fraud, abuse, technical misuse, incorrect data or legal restrictions are suspected.

5. Delivery

Digital delivery may take place by displaying the result on the website, by sending a private link, by sending information to the email address used at checkout, or by making a secure digital download available.

Instant or near-instant timings are estimates, not guarantees. Delays can occur because of payment-provider checks, source-data providers, temporary outages, incomplete data, wrong VIN details, email filtering or manual review where needed.

6. Digital content, cancellation and refunds

Our products are digital content/services. Under UK consumer rules, you normally have a 14-day cooling-off period for distance contracts. However, where you expressly agree to immediate supply of digital content or digital services and acknowledge that cancellation rights may be lost once delivery starts, you may not be able to cancel after we begin processing or deliver the product.

Please read our Cancellation and Refunds Policy before ordering. If we cannot supply the product because of a fault on our side, we will offer a reasonable remedy such as re-delivery, correction, an alternative product or a refund.

7. Reports and data limitations

Vehicle history reports and VIN lookups are based on the information available from source systems at the time of the request. Not every vehicle has the same amount of data. We do not guarantee that a report is complete, exhaustive, error-free or suitable as the only basis for buying or selling a vehicle.

A report does not replace a physical inspection, mechanical diagnosis, document checks, HPI/finance checks, MOT checks, manufacturer/dealer confirmation, insurance checks or professional advice.

8. Your use of the website

  • Do not use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or automated activity.
  • Do not scrape, overload, probe or attempt unauthorised access to the site, APIs or systems.
  • Do not resell our services as your own without written permission.
  • Use any information supplied only for lawful vehicle-related purposes.

9. Intellectual property

The website design, text, structure, software, branding and generated presentation are protected by intellectual-property rights. You may use your purchased digital result for your own legitimate personal or business vehicle-checking purposes, but you must not copy, republish, scrape, resell or repackage the service.

10. Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to the above, our liability for a paid order is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant service. We are not responsible for indirect losses, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, repair costs, purchase decisions, resale decisions or losses caused by incorrect VIN details supplied by you.

11. Complaints and support

If something is wrong, contact us through the Contact page with your order email, VIN, product and a clear description of the issue. We will review the request and respond as soon as reasonably possible.

For UK consumers, guidance is available from Citizens Advice and your local Trading Standards service. We ask that you contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue directly.

12. Governing law

These terms are intended to be read alongside mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. Because the trader is based in Romania and the website serves UK customers, different mandatory rules may apply depending on your location. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect legal, technical or commercial changes. The version published at the time you place an order will normally apply to that order.
