1. Why this policy exists

SatNavUpdate.co.uk supplies digital products such as FSC activation codes, FSC files, map-update delivery information and online vehicle history reports. These products are not physical goods and can often be generated or delivered immediately.

2. Your 14-day cooling-off right

If you are a UK consumer buying online, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a distance contract. For digital content and digital services, special rules apply when you ask for immediate supply.

3. Immediate digital delivery

When you order a product that is delivered immediately or starts processing immediately, you may be asked to agree that supply can begin before the end of the 14-day cancellation period and to acknowledge that you may lose the right to cancel once supply has started.

Starting supply may include checking the VIN with a provider, generating a report, reserving or generating an FSC code, retrieving an FSC file, creating a private report link, displaying the result on the website or sending the deliverable by email.

4. When a refund may be available

  • We have not started processing or delivering the digital product.
  • Payment was taken but the order cannot be matched to a valid delivery flow.
  • We cannot supply the ordered product because of a fault on our side.
  • The digital content is not as described and we cannot repair, replace or correct it within a reasonable time.

Depending on the situation, the remedy may be re-delivery, correction, replacement with an equivalent digital product, partial refund or full refund.

5. When a refund is usually not available

  • You entered the wrong VIN or selected the wrong full VIN from a duplicate-VIN choice.
  • The code, file, map link or report has already been generated or delivered after you agreed to immediate supply.
  • The available source data for a vehicle is limited, but the product was correctly generated from the available data.
  • You changed your mind after accessing or receiving the digital product.
  • A vehicle purchase or sale decision does not go as expected after using the information.
  • Your email provider filtered or delayed the delivery email, but the secure result or download can be re-sent.

6. How to request cancellation or a refund

Contact us through the Contact page. Include the order email, VIN, product, payment date and a clear explanation of the issue. Please do not send full card details.

8. Refund timing
