BMW CarPlay FullScreen and Video in Motion
Standard BMW CarPlay runs in a window on the widescreen display. BMW CarPlay FullScreen stretches it across the whole screen on compatible units, so maps and apps are larger and easier to read. BMW Video in Motion lets passengers watch video while the car is moving. Both are optional add-ons at £10 each, chosen after the VIN check and before checkout. BMW's own CarPlay activation does not include either of them.

Which BMW units work with USB CarPlay activation?
The automatic USB flow is for compatible EVO ID5/6 units. The VIN check identifies the multimedia unit and only allows checkout when compatibility can be confirmed automatically.
How do I receive the activation file?
After Stripe confirms the payment, we generate the USB activation package for your VIN and display the download link on the success page. The link is also sent to the payment email address.
How long does activation take in the car?
Once the files are prepared on a correctly formatted USB drive, the in-car activation usually takes around 10 minutes.
Do I need a laptop or ENET cable?
Not for the automatic USB service. You receive a VIN-specific USB package generated for the detected head unit and navigation region.
What are FullScreen and Video in Motion?
FullScreen expands CarPlay across the full display on compatible units. Video in Motion is an optional add-on where the unit supports it.
What if the USB update is not compatible?
The free VIN check confirms compatibility before you pay, so you only order if the USB activation suits your car. If your unit is ID5/6 but the check shows it as incompatible, contact us and we will look into it. Use the contact form to get in touch.

This service is for BMW cars with Navigation Professional, an 8.8 or 10.25 inch screen, and an EVO ID5/6 unit. The final compatibility check is made by VIN before payment.
